Edwards and Interactive Systems, Inc. Collaborate to Lower
the Installation Cost to J.D. Edwards’ Customers Collaborative Solutions Coexist
with Legacy Systems DENVER,

— J.D. Edwards & Company (NASDAQ: JDEC), a leading provider of
agile, collaborative solutions for the Internet economy, today announced
an alliance with Interactive Systems, Inc. (ISI).
ISI is the newest member of the J.D. Edwards eXtended Solutions Partner (XSP) program. The
XSP program is for companies who provide a distinct competitive advantage
to J.D. Edwards’ software solutions by offering unique services to J.D.
Edwards customers. XSP firms
will also possess the ability to refer software sales and implementation
opportunities to J.D. Edwards. “ISI
provides intermediate term outsourcing services of IBM legacy systems for
client’s transitioning to new technologies, such as J.D. Edwards
OneWorld®,” said Don Weymer, president of ISI. “ISI also relieves the
dual operations by hosting the client’s existing systems at the ISI data
center, which ultimately reduces the client’s costs and reduces the
manpower required to run the legacy systems until the migration to the new
technology is completed.” ISI
differentiates itself in the marketplace not only by their expertise
outsourcing IBM mainframes and legacy systems, but also by the length of
their support contracts, the level of services offered, and the level of
customer satisfaction. This
alliance looks to enhance J.D. Edwards’ sales and services by leveraging
ISI’s strengths and core competencies.
Services provided by ISI include outsourcing, insourcing
(co-sourcing), and IT infrastructure management. Outsourcing includes
computer mainframe and midrange processing, dedicated and shared servers,
help desk services, data center operations, and LAN and WAN support.
Insourcing includes mainframe/server operations, help desk
services, network management, network integration, and enterprise resource
planning. IT infrastructure
management includes technology refresh, network management, help desk
services, and hardware installation, upgrades and maintenance.
Platform experience includes IBM CMOS, IBM ES9000, IBM AS400, IBM
RS6000, DEC Alpha/VAX, Data General, HP, various servers, and PCs. "The
